One idea to try this month
Setting up a simple card making station is an easy way to encourage kids to get creative and prepare lovely cards for friends and family.

We set up this activity as a Christmas card making station, but you prepare it for any other holiday as well.
Prepare the supplies on a table or shelf that the kids can easily access and leave the card station available for 1-2 weeks.
This will give the kids plenty of opportunities to create cards, decorate them, and even practice their writing skills.
Use colorful supplies to spark their curiosity, and encourage the kids to come up with creative designs for their cards.
Here are some items you can include in your card making station:
- blank cards (made out of card stock paper)
- envelopes
- pens, pencils, and drawing supplies
- colored paper
- washi tape
- paint sticks
- stickers (different designs)
- writing prompts (including words and phrases the kids can use in their cards to make writing easier for them).
You don’t need all these supplies to prepare the card making station. Just a few materials are enough to make this activity fun and engaging for the kids.
