One idea to try this month
Preparing a few creativity jars for your kids is an easy way to encourage them to get creative and come up with fun ways to use craft materials.

To try this idea, you will need:
- empty jars (use plastic jars for young kids)
- craft materials (use any craft supplies you have at hand).
Prepare at least 2 jars for every child, so they have options to choose from. (If you only have a few jars, you can invite the kids to use a jar together and only prepare 3 jars.)
Make sure to include a different mix of supplies in each jar. Once the jars are ready, invite the kids to choose one of them and use the materials inside it to create something fun.
You can invite each child to choose a different jar, or encourage siblings to work together using the materials in one jar.
You can make this activity even more fun by inviting the kids to use all the materials inside the jar in their creations.
Store the rest of the jars and try this activity again on another day. If your kids enjoy this idea, you can create more creativity jars throughout the month to give them more opportunities to get creative.
If you need some inspiration, here are some craft materials you can include in your jars: pom poms, craft sticks, beads, washi tape, pieces of felt, pieces of colored paper, craft gems, clothespins, shells, craft feathers, buttons, yarn, etc.
