Mosaic art

Instructions

• Invite the kids to create an abstract painting using different lines and shapes to cover an entire piece of (watercolor)paper.

• Once the paint dries, invite the kids to cut paper squares / rectangles out of the painted paper and glue them on the black paper to create mosaic art. Encourage them to glue the paper pieces close to each other so they all can fit on the black paper.

Bonus idea for older kids: Encourage the kids to cut paper squares of the same size out of the painted paper and arrange them in a creative way on the black paper to transform the original painting into a unique piece of mosaic art.
