Materials
- drawing / painting supplies
- paper
- flowers (or any other subject you choose)
Instructions
- Choose a subject for the kids to draw or paint (e.g, a vase of flowers, a bowl of fruits, etc). We used some felt flowers as our subject because they looked really nice and colorful.
- Prepare a few drawing or painting supplies, and display your subject in front of the paper so the kids can easily observe it while they draw.
- Invite the kids to study the subject and create a realistic drawing or painting of it. To help young kids with this activity, start by observing the subject together and talking about the details you notice (like shapes, colors, sizes).
