Paper ornaments

Materials
- thick paper
- paint sticks
- watercolor paint
- scissors and glue
- (optional) circle paper punch
- string

Instructions
- Invite the kids to use watercolor paint and paint sticks to color a whole piece of paper with as many colors as they want. After the paint dries, cut small circles out of the painted paper. (To make sure they are the same size, use a small cup to trace them or use a circle paper punch.)
- Fold all the circles in half. Then, glue the left side of one circle to the right side of another one.
- Add two more circles by gluing the sides together. Before sticking the last two halves together, glue the ends of a loop of string inside the ornament. Then, glue the last two halves together.
- Create more ornaments using painted paper. You can also try other shapes like stars or hearts.
