Rainbow fish

Materials
- (watercolor) paper
- paint
- colored paper
- scissors
- glue
- (optional) aluminum foil

Instructions
This activity is part of our book club, but you can try it with your kids even if you didn’t read the book.
- Invite the kids to draw the shape of a fish on a big piece of (watercolor) paper and cut it out. Paint the fish and add the eye and month.
- Use colored paper to create the scales. Draw a scale shape and cut it out. Use it as a template to create scales of different colors. (optional) Add a few “shiny” scales using aluminum foil.
- Begin gluing the scales starting from the tail to the head until you add all the layers.
