Rainbow scavenger hunt

Instructions

• To prepare this activity, you will need magnetic tiles in the colors of the rainbow. (We only used six colors to create the design.)

• Create small recipients using the magnetic tiles (one recipient of each color) and connect them to create a design similar to the one in the picture.

• Add a prompt inviting the kids to find 3 items of each color and place them in colored boxes, making sure that all three objects fit in the boxes.

Bonus idea: For older kids, you can make this activity more challenging by setting the rule of not including two objects of the same kind (e.g, if they find a building brick for one color, they can’t use building bricks again for any other colors) and using a timer to see how fast they complete the activity.
