Sponge painted flowers

Materials
- thin cardboard
- buttons
- liquid paint
- sponges
Instructions
- To prepare this activity, cut some flowers out of thin cardboard. Try cutting several sizes and shapes to offer the kids more options to choose from.
- Pour the liquid paint into small containers and set up the sponges and buttons as well. We used a few sponges from a painting set, but you can also cut pieces of a regular sponge.
- Invite the kids to dip the sponges into the paint and use them to color the flowers. Painting with sponges will give the flowers a nice texture.
- (optional) After the paint dries, glue a button in the middle of the flower.
